Recent Updates to Forms - BCC Notifications and Attachments

We just published 2 small updates to the Forms app in Aptuitiv Studio. The first allows you to set one or more BCC email addresses for the administrator notification email.  The other allows you to choose whether or not you want to automatically include file attachments on the administrator notification email.

BCC Email Address

You can now set one or more email addresses to be BCC'd on the administrator notification email for new form submissions. Do the following to set a BCC email address.

  1. Edit the form
  2. Go to the Notifications tab
  3. Click the BCC Recipients tab
  4. Enter one or more email addresses
  5. Save form

If you want to BCC more than one email address then separate each email address with a comma or a new line.

Note that if you don't enter any email addresses in the Email Recipient(s) field but you do enter an email address in the BCC Email Recipient(s) field then the BCC email will become the regular "To" address

File Attachments

By default if your form accepts file uploads the files are included as attachments to the administrator notification email. That can be problematic if your form allows large file uploads. To turn off the automatic attachment inclusion follow these steps.

  1. Edit the form
  2. Go to the Notifications tab
  3. Choose "No" for the Include attachments in the notification email if there are any field
  4. Save form
