An Easier Way to Link to Pages

This morning we pushed out a small update that has a big impact to creating navigation items.

In the past you had to either type in or paste in the URL for a link.  This often meant that you needed to have visited the page that you want to link to and copied the URL before creating a new navigation menu so that you would know what to link to.  There were other techniques as well, but to sum it up, it was a pain.

We've made it easier.

You can now click a simple "Browse" button next to the text input and in the popup dialog click on the page that you want to link to.  The page's URL will then automatically be populated in the text input.  That's it.  So simple!

We've also added the same functionality to Forms for setting the redirect URL.

What about other apps?

So that nobody feels left out we've also added a new attribute for all Apps that support attributes called "URL" that provides the same functionality.

Collection Widgets and Page Content Block Layout Fields also have this new attribute as well.
